1. REGISTRATION MEETINGS: March is our registration month. We will be having our parent registration meetings Monday, March 5th and Tuesday, March 6th, at 6:30 PM, in the gym. Parents planning to re-enroll their children are required to attend one of these meetings. Registration fees have increased this year. Parents who attend one of the meetings and register that evening will pay $50 per child. After March 6th, the fee will be $75 per child. Parents re-registering after May 31st will pay $100 per child.
2. MAGAZINE SALE: A reminder that all orders turned in tomorrow, Wednesday, February 22nd, will count for double points.
3. ATHLETIC NEWS:
Middle School “Final Four” tournament results: Congratulations to our middle school girls for their championship win! Congratulations, also, to our middle school boys for their third place finish!
Varsity basketball quarter-final games: Our varsity teams are hosting MDCC quarter-final games this evening. Our girls will host Broadfording at 5:00, and our boys will host Calvary at 6:30. Winners of those games will advance to the final four tournament, to be held at Grace Academy this Friday and Saturday, February 24th and 25th. Concessions will be sold.
4. NEW PARENT OPEN HOUSE/SHALOM SHOWCASE: Next Tuesday, February 28th, we will be holding an open house for prospective parents, from 9:00 AM-6:00 PM. Shalom Showcase will be held from 6:30-8:30 PM, and is for current and prospective families. Invite a family to one or both of these events.
5. BOOK FAIR: In cooperation with Corner Christian Bookstore, we will be holding our annual book fair in the school library February 27th-March 2nd, from 9 AM-3 PM each day, and from 6:30-8:30 PM during the February 28th Shalom Showcase. Available items include Christian books, Bibles, DVDs, CDs and Bible games.
6. DINNER THEATER: March 15th-17th, Shalom Drama Troupe will present, Secret Garden. Dinner theater presentations are Friday and Saturday, March 16th and 17th, at 6:00 PM. The cost is $17 per person, and reservations are required. Matinee showings of the play will be Thursday, March 15th, at 7:00 PM, and Saturday afternoon, March 17th, at 2:00 PM. Tickets for the matinee performances will be available at the door. Look for a flyer and order form with next week’s parent letter.
7. DUTCHFEST 2012: Our annual Dutchfest will take place Friday evening and Saturday, May 4th and 5th. Space is available in our craft area in the gym. 8. ELEMENTARY SPRING SOCCER: Registration forms will be sent home with your child this week. Please check your child’s backpack and folder. We are in need of parent coaches. Please consider volunteering to coach your child’s team. The forms and payment must be submitted to the Elementary Office NO LATER than Wednesday, March 7th.
