Note From Our Administrator

Welcome to Shalom Christian Academy!

Our mission statement reads that we “prepare each student for a life of consequence in the world for the kingdom of God”.  A life of consequence is characterized by one that makes a difference. As students leave our campus at the end of the day, at the end of the year, and at graduation, our goal is to for them to use their gifts. This is expressed differently, but in ways that allow each one to honor God wherever He calls them.

Shalom recognizes that each student is important in this small school setting.  Faculty and staff know students by name. They cultivate personal relationships.  They work to make education be a positive experience for each one.

This is exemplified in the following comment by a parent after a parent-teacher conference:

angie petersheimI sat there in his desk across from his teacher. I saw his cubby and his books and his name up on the bulletin board. It is his home away from home – this little classroom. The teacher shared how thankful he was that I had taken the time to schedule a conference and then he asked if we could pray. He prayed the most beautiful prayer for my son and for our family and for his school year and even for me. We talked about ways that he could help my boy with his reading – he took notes on what I suggested. He is making up an extra study guide this week – just for my boy. If I didn’t know any better, I might think he loved him almost as much as I do. And then I met with the next teacher – she lightened my spirit from the moment I stepped inside her classroom. I have a feeling her students feel the exact same way each morning. She talked with me about my son and she was so excited over a recent situation that I almost started to cry. And then she prayed – for my son, for our family, for his school year, and even for me. I am so thankful for my boys second home – they are in great hands. Hearing teachers pray for your family is such a gift – so thankful.

At Shalom Christian Academy we are a community. We value relationships and strive to create a culture that makes this a place where the whole family feels welcomed. We invite you to find out more about our school, and to consider becoming a part of us!
