Tuition & Fees
Our goal at Shalom Christian Academy is to provide an excellent education while keeping tuition as reasonable as possible.
The 2017-2018 tuition reflects an average 2.9% increase across each of the schools. Kindergarten tuition is at a significantly discounted rate from elementary. Tuition for elementary students is at a lower rate than middle and high school students. Shalom’s tuition is all inclusive – the total cost includes all fees so that payments are simplified for parents. Tuition covers less than 80% of the full operational costs of the school.
A non-refundable application fee must be submitted with the application. The fee is $100 /student through May. Beginning June 1 the fee is $125/student. Beginning August 1 the fee is $150/student. Shalom does not reimburse fully for early withdrawal.

FACTS is the payment plan provider most widely used by private, faith-based, and public schools nationwide. Since 1986, they have grown to serve more than 5,000 schools and have processed payments for more than two million families. FACTS helps families meet their financial obligations in a simple, convenient way that is completely confidential and secure. Because it is not a loan program, FACTS does not assess any interest or finance charges, and there is no credit check. Schools using FACTS find that this service provides a better way for them to more efficiently manage the fee collection process while offering convenience to their families. In addition to collecting payments, FACTS provides the schools with a variety of financial and management reports. They also help schools control their costs so that future fee increases are kept at the lowest possible level. This enables schools to focus on the quality of education all students receive.
We recognize that this is a significant financial investment for our families and work to find make it possible for families who agree with our educational philosophy to have children at Shalom. Through Pennsylvania’s Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) program, we are able to offer scholarships up to 35% off of the current rate. These are based on need and require that families submit a scholarship application by April 15. These applications are available from the office upon request – call (717) 375-2068 or email email@example.com.
