Summer Sports Camps
Shalom Christian Academy is excited to offer Flames Summer 2018 Sports Camps! Campers will be challenged to “take their game” to a higher level in a Christian environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive work ethic while learning fundamental and advanced sports skills. Campers will enjoy first-hand experiences that will stretch their imaginations and enhance their knowledge. An excellent slate of coaches will provide a camp program that fosters
physical, emotional, social, and spiritual development. Camps will range from grades 1 – 8.

General Info for All Camps:
Campers receive a camp shirt & quality instruction.
Campers must have their own medical coverage.
Full day campers should bring a bag lunch Monday – Wednesday.
Drinks will be provided throughout the day & lunchtime.
Each Camp will have a pizza party on Thursday.
Coaches subject to change.
Grades levels are based on the campers rising grade.
Early bird drop off & Late Pick Up
Full day: begins at 8 AM and late pick up ends at 4 pm.
Half Day Morning: Begins at 8 AM and late pick up ends at 1 PM.
Half Day Afternoon: Begins at 12 PM and late pick up ends at 5 PM.
Register prior to May 8, 2018 receive a $10 discount per camper per camp for full days, or a $5 discount for half day camp.
To Receive a free shirt: All registrations are due 2 weeks prior to camp start date.

FLAMES BASKETBALL CAMP
Flames basketball camp focuses on the fundamental basketball skills of shooting, rebounding, dribbling, passing, offense, and defense. Campers will be grouped according to age and ability level and receive individual workouts. Station work will break down the individual skills and daily team competitions will be played. “Half-time” talks will give insight into what it means to be a Christian athlete as well as focusing on good attitudes and work ethics. Please bring basketball sneakers and water bottle.

FLAMES SOCCER CAMP
Flames soccer camp will offer high-quality instruction in a fun, positive Christian environment that emphasizes team play and sportsmanship, as well as proper motivation and attitudes. Campers will train in all aspects of soccer, from fundamental skill drills to small-sided games, from field position training to team competition. Players will be coached according to age and ability. Don’t miss out on this exciting soccer camp! All camps include t-shirt, pizza party & quality instruction. What to Bring:
Soccer ball, outdoor soccer shoes, shin guards, water bottle.

Flames Volleyball Camp will provide the opportunity for individuals to prepare for the upcoming season. Emphasis will be on building fundamental skills as well as offensive and defensive team play tactics. All camps include t-shirt, pizza party & quality instruction. FLAMES FLAG FOOTBALL CAMP
Flames Flag Football Camp is designed to teach the basic fundamentals of flag football through instruction and competition. Basic skills such as passing, receiving, snapping, kicking and punting will be taught throughout the week.

Flames Frenzy Camp is a physical education camp designed to teach young people the fundamentals of physical activity and good sportsmanship. Campers will be encouraged and motivated to improve their skills while developing cooperative team play in a caring Christian environment. Fun, challenge, and competition will be the passwords of a great camp. All camps include t-shirt, pizza party & quality instruction. What to Bring: Sneakers, water bottle, fruit snack.
