FAVORITE PART OF TEACHING
My favorite parts of teaching are watching the students become proficient readers as the year progresses and enjoying the genuineness they bring to the classroom. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the older high school students as well, as they allow my teaching to go to the next level.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God..” Philippians 4:6
My husband, daughters, and myself live on a 300 acre dairy farm. I do not usually help with the milking, but we enjoy all of the vast land around us. We enjoy spending time with family and friends, including making trips to Lancaster to visit with my family. My daughters are active young ladies and much of my time is spent shuttling them from one event to another. In addition to the cows, we also have a dog and two guinea pigs!
We attend Salem United Brethren Church. I am active with many of the children’s programs, including teaching Sunday school, Wednesday night groups, children’s plays, and the nursery.
Currently, my hobby is my children. I enjoy doing things for them, as well as doing things with them. If I find myself with some time on my hands, I enjoy reading and shopping. In the summer, we enjoy gardening and swimming in our pool together.
