Helping Hands – The Magners Family
The Magners Family shares in their own words what it’s like to volunteer at Shalom –
“Greetings from the Magners family – Don, Cindy, Michaela and Hannah. We have been part of the Shalom family since 2005 when our oldest daughter Michaela entered 1st grade. After looking at all the educational options in Franklin County, Shalom won hands down! From the very beginning, we felt it was vital that we volunteer at Shalom and be part of our children’s Christian education. Our girls were excited every time we came to Shalom to volunteer, and 12 years later, they still are.
It is important for students to know their parents are connected with their school. We have volunteered for Race for Education, Dutchfest, elementary and middle school activities, high school mission trip fundraisers, Bible Memory, the Great Pie Sale, sports concession sales, and just about every area where volunteers are needed. Volunteering also connected us with other Shalom families which sparked friendships that will last a lifetime.
If you are thinking of volunteering at Shalom, our advice to you is to just jump in and be as active as you can. You will be blessed by your service, and at the same time you will bless others as well!”
